Action "One country - one book 2022"

The Republican action "One country - one book" has been held in our country since 2007 for 15 years at the initiative of the National Academic Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Library Association of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The purpose of the action is the promotion of national literature, the preservation of historical, cultural and spiritual heritage, the moral and patriotic education of young people, and respect for their native language.
2022 marks the 150th anniversary of the birth of the Kazakh educator, statesman, linguist, literary critic, Turkologist, poet and translator, public figure and political publicist, reformer, member of the Alash party Akhmet Baitursynov (1872-1937). In Kazakhstan, it is revered as "Ult Ustazy" ("Teacher of the Nation").
This year, the republican action "One country - one book" is dedicated to the scientific and literary work of Akhmet Baitursynov.
Thus, in 2022, according to the “One country - one book” campaign, the population of the country will study the work of Akhmet Baitursynov in the following areas:
- "Scientific heritage of Akhmet Baitursynov";
- "Literary works of Akhmet Baitursynov";
- "Winged words and expressions of Akhmet Baitursynov";
- "Baiturs sonology in modern science".

Dear residents of Ust-Kamenogorsk and guests of our city! Another Republican action "One country - one book" has been announced in our country. For general reading and study, the scientific and artistic work of the founder of Kazakh linguistics and literary criticism Akhmet Baitursynov, whose 150th anniversary is celebrated this year, has been chosen.

A statesman, scientist, poet, publicist, educator and reformer Akhmet Baitursynov is dedicated to the exhibition “Ultyn ulyktagan uly tulga” / “I serve humanity ...”, prepared by the East Kazakhstan Regional Library named after. A. S. Pushkin. The presented books reflect the works of Baitursynov, his life path, as well as the works of various authors on Baytursynov.
Amantai Akhetov dedicated his novel “Lord of the Spirit” to Baitursynov, recreating in it the difficult and tragic time of the first third of the 20th century. In his early youth, “Ibray Altynsarin had a huge influence on Akhmet’s choice of the path of an educator,” writes Kogabay Sarsekeyev in his work “The Honor and Conscience of the Nation, or Reflections on the Life and Work of Akhmet Baitursynov.” “As a philosopher, Baitursynov is the legitimate spiritual heir of Abai,” notes Mukhamet-Khalel Suleymanov in his book “A bright bearer of the spirit of humanity. Translation of poems by A. Baitursynov and thoughts about them. – Like Abay, he gradually leads the reader to the fact that the reader himself asks questions: “Who is to blame?” and "What to do?". Like Abay, Baitursynov leads the reader to the thought: we are all to blame, all the people are to blame “from top to bottom” ... From here it is clear what to do. It is necessary to unite on the basis of the spirit of self-respect ... becoming "masters of one's own." As a poet, Akhmet Baitursynov is extremely relevant:
Alas, we have no more values,
The rich need livestock
Scientists - power,
And few people - the people ... -
these piercing lines were written in 1908, but how modern they sound!
Being surprisingly figurative, his poems "hit not in the eyebrow, but in the eye." The work of two geniuses of the Kazakh people - Abay and Baitursynov, emphasizes Mukhamet-Khalel Suleymanov, "penetrates the bones with a healthy Siberian frost of truth-truth and truth-justice." It is not given to everyone to tell his people the truth in the eye. To do this, you need to passionately, to self-forgetfulness, love your people.
The action "One country - one book" will be valid throughout the year in the following areas: "Scientific heritage of Akhmet Baitursynov", "Literary works of Akhmet Baitursynov", "Akhmet Baitursynov's winged words and expressions", "Baitursynova in modern science". As part of it, various events will be held. We are waiting for everyone who is interested in the history of our country and who cares about the fate of its prominent figures.
